Schoolteacher Colby Wingate travels to Los Angeles to try to have superstore actor Sterling Hamilton endorse her brother's new perfume, in an attempt to help her brother's struggling cosmetic company. Howeber, Sterling thinks she has come to answer a want ad for a woman who would bear his child with no strings attached. She is shocked by his proposal, but Sterling falls in love with her, and his carefully laid plans are tossed aside.
