A day on the farm follows Farmer Brown and his family through a typical day on the farm. A name for kitty has a boy trying to decide on a name for a kitten. The farmyard animals don't help him decide on a name. And in The jolly barnyard, on his birthday, Farmer Brown gives each of the animals on his farm what it likes best to eat. In turn, each animal tells what it will do for Farmer Brown.
