Nat Banyon, handsome and rough around the edges, stumbles into the shady town of Deepwater and takes on a painting job at a dingy hotel. Soon afterwards, he seduces his employer's beautiful wife, but it isn't long until dangerous things begin to happen, and Nat isn't sure who's responsible.
