Stargate is an intergalactic gateway, developed by an ancient civilization, that links planets from other solar systems to ours. The US Air Force assembles a Stargate team headed by Colonel Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) for interstellar peacekeeping. In "The torment of Tantalus," a young professor who slipped through the Stargate in 1945 is now an old man trapped in a decaying fortress. In "Bloodlines," Teal'c returns to Chulak to rescue his son and bring back a Goa'uld larva for study. But his son needs the larva to survive. In "Fire and water," the SG-1 team is transported to a planet of opposites. Only three of the four return, shellshocked and disturbed. Can they rescue Daniel? In "The Nox," an ambush goes wrong and some of the team members die. The Nox restore them to life, but the deadly Goa'uld technology threatens that peaceful people. In "Hathor," the Gou'ald Hathor invades the Stargate facility and seduces the men into helping her take over the world. Samantha Carter and her female colleagues must defeat Hathor.
