Clint Eastwood is the outlaw Josey Wales, a fast-drawing loner with a heart. After avenging his family's brutal murder, Wales is on the lam, pursued by killers but bound to a ragtag group of outcasts. Returning to the saddle in Pale rider, Eastwood plays a stranger named Preacher who defends the underdogs when a corporate mining boss attempts to drive independent miners away.
